Hey hope everyone is keeping well It's been a while since I checked in or posted anything. I'm on the transplant list since the last time I've posted since November actually :) And my siblings are waiting for there appointment to see who is the best match so feels like the ball is finally rolling. The only thing I've to complain about is this damn fistula. It has it's moods it's been done over a year and still isn't working the way I'd like. There's only one nurse at my clinic that can get it with both needles every time. But when I ask for him I get "Well if he got it last time maybe I'll get it this time >:( They never do. They have to use one in my arm at one in the line. And to make it worse it's so strong it takes ages to stop bleeding. But I won't end with a moan otherwise life is good....

Hey great to see ya posting!  Take it as a blessing that your siblings are even getting tested...nobody on my wifes side has gone through with anything for her.  Although that fistula is driving you nuts it is a good thing it is strong if it goes weak you might have to go an alternative route.  Have you considered home hemo?  My wife loves it compared to in center.

Yea it's great their going a head and getting tested even though I panic when I think about what they've to go through if one of them is a match. When I was in having my fistula surgery I met a woman that had been through dialysis and a transplant and she advised me not to go for it as it's hard to do and when you go to a clinic everything's done for you so I took her to her word and kept with haemo. Besides I'd never be able to canulate myself a big chicken I think is the phrase for it :lol;
