Fistulagram

I'm kicking myself right now.

Tomorrow I geta fistulagram instead of going to Disneyland, as I'd planned. I was in Dialysis, and they called me up, and said there was an opening, would I like to to come in tomorrow instead of in two weeks?

Awwwwww.......... will you be able to go to Disneyland in two weeks instead

(not sure how close you live...). Bes of luck with your fistulagram (it's an E ticket attraction !)

If it can wait two weeks just tell them. And keep your two week appt.

May 13, 2009, went to urgent care with shortness of breath
May 19, 2009, went to doctor for severe nausea
May 20, 2009, admited to hospital for kidney failure
May 20, 2009, started dialysis with a groin cath
May 25, 2009, permacath was placed
august 24, 2009, was suppose to have access placement but instead was admited to hospital for low potassium
august 25, 2009, access placement
January 16, 2010 thrombectomy was done on access

I went in for my fistulagram. And it was all for not. My veins are too small, but they said they saw another vein they could use. So that will probably require another fistula surgery. It was just one of those days where everything goes wrong. I hated to miss a day at Disneyland. I like to go when the crowds are small and they have special celebrations. And when it fits our schedule. For most people, I would say hold off on going until next summer when Carland opens up and the refurbishment of Main Street is completed. Ca Adventure, DL's neighbor park, isn't worth the ticket price as everything is under construction.
