God Bless scarey moms.   ;D
Yessssss!!!! I aspire to be a scary mom! Goodness knows they shudder when they hear I'm unhappy at the boys' schools.

I love hearing what an advocate your mom is for you, Riki. :2thumbsup; It certainly has given me ideas to store away in case I need them later.

This is kind of funny...

Because of our age difference, and the face that we moved around a lot when we were younger, the only school that both me and my brother went to was my junior high school.  When I went there, Mom was there a lot because I was still on dialysis and was doing a noon time PD run, and I wasn't allowed to do it on my own because of my age.  I was trained on how to do it, but they wanted me to be supervised as I did it.  Mom was there every second day with me, and the teachers there got to know her because most of my supplies were stored in the staff room.  I was a quiet kid, kept to myself, and didn't really have any friends in junior high, so I didn't really get in trouble.  I got picked on a little bit, but that was it.  When she interacted with the teachers she was calm and pleasant.

When my brother started at the school about five years later, it was a different story.  Bro was a big kid, and looked older than he really was.  He also had a nasty temper and a short fuse. He was bullied a lot, and the bullies knew which buttons to push.  Because he was the bigger kid, when he lashed out at those who provoked him, he was usually the one who got in trouble.  Because he was bigger than these kids, he didn't want to do anything to hurt them either, so instead of hitting them, he'd hit a locker or a door.  One day, he kicked a garbage can and sprained his ankle.  Finally, Mom had had enough.  She went into the school and gave the principal a tongue lashing that I'm sure he still feels.  She manage to get him to call one of the parents of the provocateurs, which had not been done before (one of the kids was the son of a prominent lawyer, and because of that, Bro had to be lying, because a lawyer's son would never bully another kid *eyeroll*), and once the parents were notified, the bullying stopped.  One of the teachers that knew Mom from when I was there had seen her react and after everything was settled, she went to Mom and said, "wow, [Riki]'s mother is a lot different than [Bro]'s mother."  I think Mom found that comment a bit comical.

hehe.. There's 6 years between me and my Bro, so I was out of the school before he was in it.  If it wasn't for my health problems, my mom probably wouldn't have gotten to know the teachers as well as she did, so they probably wouldn't have seen 2 different sides of her.
