Hi!

I's been awhile sice my last post on IHD. Well, I'm on D now for 16 months and I must admit I feel fine.
I voluntarely switched to 3x5 hours and now considering to do 3x8 hours at night. My labs are great, I still pee.

It's been a very successful year considering profession and sports. Wrote a few articles, had been invited to a prestige conference to lecture, working full time. My employer adjusted schedule according to my availability. Greatful for that! :2thumbsup;

I managed to do 2600 miles with my bike since New Year with around 40 miles elevation gain. Not bad for a D patient, isn't it? :bandance;

I hope my Tx will come soon in the future. I'm glad for your kidney transplant Richard and also for everyone's else too. We are fighters.

P.S.:I switched to buttonhole technique and it does miracles regarding pain and bumps.

2005 - stagae 4of kidney failure
2009 - on the edge of stage 5
july 2010 - stage 5
14 july 2010 - catheter inserted and first D session
15 july 2010 - AV fistula created
dec. 2012 - tx with major rejection (plasmapheresis, atg, prednisone pulses)
apr 2013 - kidney function stable

AguynamedKim, just to satisfy your curiosit: me and my neph "friend" had intense relationship. We're not together at the moment, but this is not due to D issue.  :shy; She plays an important tole in my life and she is there to give me a comfort when I need it. She is there to shout at me when I feel sorry for myself and I need kick in my butt to star moving :Kit n Stik; And I know she will be there when the call will come.

Born with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease
1995 - AV Fistula placed
Dec 7, 1999 cadaver transplant saved me from childhood dialysis!
10 transplant years = spleenectomy, gall bladder removed, liver biopsy, bone marrow aspiration.
July 27, 2010 Started dialysis for the first time ever.
June 21, 2011 2nd kidney nonrelated living donor
September 2013 Liver Cancer tumor.
October 2013 Ablation of liver tumor.
Now scans every 3 months to watch for new tumors.
Now Status 7 on the wait list for a liver.
How about another decade of solid health?
