when your on dialyis
what would be the effect of you having low iron and why

i have been feeling extremly tired lately
where normally for me to have a nap in the afternoon
but the other day i was so tired i had 2 naps
and i was having issue on catching my breath
where i felt the fan.(fresh air) was good for me for i could breath
i also have been sleeping on the floor
which has always been normal especially when the weather has been hot
i had some lab work done today
and there going to send a referal to my dialyis center for me to get the transfusion
as they seen to normally do that

i think you answered your own question there.  Your symptoms pretty much sum up low RBC.  A transfusion will fix you right up.  If your on a transplant list, you might look to drug therapy instead of the transfusion so your antibodies dont skyrocket.  I'm no expert, but ive delt with this for a while.  I take Arenespt (sp?) once a week to keep my blood count between 11 and 13.  Dont know what that count means really, but under 11 is bad and over 13 means stoke.  Good Luck
