I am sorry dyann, you've really faced some serious challenges. I pray they get you active and able to get a transplant soon. It's tough to keep your spirits up when you're dealing with such stressful health issues. Please know we are here and willing to listen. If you need someone to talk to let me know.

dyann, What a shitty disease this is. You sound as though you are really going through a very rough patch. One thing after another.Trust me you will get through this. At the moment every thing seems as though it is against you. My husband went down the same road. Three fistulas, none worked, his veins are too small, heart attack that was really scarrry, fluid that took over his body and he had to sit up in bed to breath. He ended up in and out of hospital with no chance of a transplant. But now he is OK, well as OK as a dialysis patient can be. You sound like you have a good neph.It is so easy to get depressed, you really need to talk to some one about this, have you got a partner or supporting family around you? Dyann it will get better,I will say try to be positive but its bloody hard. Please come to the site, talk to us, rant to us, let us know how you feel. Thinking of you.

Dyann,

This is the only place on earth where people "get" what you are going through. I myself are currently in a dip.

I just want to let you know that fix the things you can and let the rest just go by. I know it is easier said than done (believe me) I am currently living day by day. I plan only one day ahead. I plan what I will do and who I would like to phone,visit. The days are flying by so fast but I am really trying to live and not to worry about stuff..... somedays it works otherdays it doesn't.

I hope you try it. I am thinking of you and wish you well.

thank you allfor responding,  my partner is my daughter and she is only 17 so dont want to burdeon her, she has enough todeal with being a teenager.  there are no support groups here in Indianapolis, IN my family dosent understand, they try it is just hard for them.  I do have an awesome neph, he is very attentive he is always on top of whatever is going on with me, never beats around the bush.  I have tried to handle it all by myself, but not good at it but it is nice to know I can come here and talk.
Thank you,
Diane

DEAR DY: I started posting on this site about a week ago for practically the same reasons as yours. The depression can seem almost insurmountable, even with medication. Anything you could say about this disease I think I would understand and if I didn't understand, I would empathize. I'm very new with all this also, diagnosed in March and started on cycler June. Changing my point of view on life from a DO to a BE is one of my biggest challenges. Please write me or post again any time you're overwhelmed. LOVE, VERA

I forgot to mention that the Renal Support Network has a toll-free line for patients and caregivers and it is answered by other kidney patients who can lend support.

So sorry you are feeling badly. No wonder, with all you have been thru. Sometimes the best thing to do is just find a quiet place and cry until you cant any more. We are all here for you, feel free to rant, rave, whatever you need here.   :cuddle;
