Sorry I have not posted this before, but wanted to wait a while -
Les has been off the D machine since Feb. 16th!!!
His creatnine had been steadily dropping, and wanted to wait and
see (last neph visit was 2 wks ago)  and he is holding steady at
3.5, Dr is hoping it will go down some more -  he feels fine
(mowed the "hay" here - we are in a bad draught in this section
of NJ) and all so far is good!   Our next visit with neph is Nov.3, but
will be seeing our primary in sept.
I am sorry I have not posted in a while, please forgive.  Am praying
for all my friends here!  Please keep us in your prayers,. that this
good fortune will continue!

Love, Anne and Les

Hi once again!!!

Just wanted to thank all for the good wishes.

Also, in response to Kickstart's question about how Les got off-
don't know if any one remembers, but my d/h"s kidney failure was
acute, caused by perhaps the dye used in catscans, Dr negligence,
blood thinners, etc  ( was never given a solid answer)
Thus, after almost 4 yrs on D, his kidney function has begun to
return - what I am praying for now is more of a creatnine drop,
and for him to retain function.

Best wishes,
Anne

That is super.  I am really happy for you.  My Mom was on PD for a couple of weeks then had a hernia operation and her GFR increased to 30 but unfortunately it is now dropping fast.  Take care cause I  care.
