hello,

My father often gets diarrhea and no medicine works perfect for him... every hour he has to go to toilet... anybody any idea, any experience?

It could be either too much fluid, or one of his meds is doing it.

May 13, 2009, went to urgent care with shortness of breath
May 19, 2009, went to doctor for severe nausea
May 20, 2009, admited to hospital for kidney failure
May 20, 2009, started dialysis with a groin cath
May 25, 2009, permacath was placed
august 24, 2009, was suppose to have access placement but instead was admited to hospital for low potassium
august 25, 2009, access placement
January 16, 2010 thrombectomy was done on access

I am thinking the same thing as sulli. Are your dad's feet or legs swollen? Does he have problems with edema? Kidney failure, Congestive Heart Failure, Cirrhosis, and many, many more reasons can cause fluid build up. It is common with kidney disease though. And yes meds. Often you can look up the medication he is taking on the computer to see if there are any side effects like this. Let the doctor know everything. Please let us know how  he is doing.

he is in dialysis. doctors change medicine all the time and doesn't work. Will check for the side effects of his medicines tonight.
