Hello, everyone--

Not a happy message to pass on, but it has been a while since my last update.

Tomorrow, sadly, I am going to the interv. radiologist to get a catheter put in. My graft, which had been working so nicely, has in the last three months or so been clotting more and more regularly to the point that any more attempts to declot it would be considered "heroic." I am at the point of needing de-clotting as often as weekly, and it is just not worth it any more. So, tomorrow, it's cath. time. Rats!

This means, of course, trying to find a new fistula/graft site. In my right arm, I guess. Sigh...

It's an inconvenience, but it's better than the alternative.

Send another note in the next day or two.

Maybe I'll be lucky, and get a call from one of my transplant clinics--that would take care of everything, wouldn't it?  8)
