Is this a unfriendly food? I wasn't sure if it was considered a whole grain or not.

Nope, puffed up ... they're white and puffed up.  Quaker's brand is made by the process of "gun puffing."  Rice crispies are puffed too, but in the same way as you make popcorn.

Five meals ... three full meals and two snacks (protein bars).  Remember, you can always add more rice, noodles (no yolk) or pasta to the meals.

Exactly!  No milk needed, therefore, less phosphorus. But puffed rice is still one of the lowest.
