Now that I have a graft in my left and right arms, left arm being the one that failed, they are having me do my bp on my rist or legs because they said if they did it on the upper arm where bp is normally taken where the old graft is they said the readings may not be correct. However when I take my bp on my rist or leg my bp reads really hi like 168-100 and palse of 127. This even happens in dialysis. The strange thing is when I feel my palse it's not beeting rapidly which if my palse was 127 and a bp 168-100 I'm sure I'd be having some symptems which I don't. Just for giggles I took my bp where it is normally taken on me and it read more in my range. Has anyone else had this issue? What's the best spot you've found to take your bp.

Yes, I have to take it on my ankle due to fistulas in both upper arms.  I get weird readings and they have to reposition it.  Make sure your legs are elevated like in the up position in the recliner.  Yeah, pretty soon I'll run out of places to take my BP.

I wish they had one of those futuristic medical diagnostic scanners like Star Trek depicted 40 years ago.  You just scan the patient and get his vital signs without sticking a thermometer in his mouth or wrapping a blood pressure cuff around his arm.

Rightside, I was just telling my sister that I wished the docs had tricorders or that bed on Star Trek that monitored everything with out poking at you.

I don't mind a thermometer in my mouth or a cuff round my arm.

It where they stick the endoscope that I don't like...  :rofl;

My BP is psycho at dialysis. It is high when standing up but is down when lying down.  The techs say it is weird.

My nurse and tech do not even write the standing pressure down anymore, they know Kit has crazy blood pressure reading when I arrive and am standing up.  My BP was 138/85 at Surgeons today sitting down.
