Yes, i have triggers that set me off every day, especially when i look at my arm or preparing dinner or going to lunch, talking with friends about traveling.  I have several friends and we get together at least once every month or every other month and when we are planning where we are going to meet, I have to remind them of my limitations, that makes me sad.  Thinking about food really reminds me of where i am heading.

Yes, food and it's place in socialization is literally primal, and having to mess around with that is hard.  But then I remind myself that lots of people have to be careful of what they eat...sodium, fat, sugar, etc.  Our restrictions are just of a different nature.  The problem with eating out is the enormous portions.  It's ok to have a little of this taboo food and a bit of that one, but restaurants aren't good for that sort of thing.

"Eggs are so inadequate, don't you think?  I mean, they ought to be able to become anything, but instead you always get a chicken.  Or a duck.  Or whatever they're programmed to be.  You never get anything interesting, like regret, or the middle of last week."
