Well, I seen my neph at dialysis today.  Good news is I still don't need my blood pressure meds ( been off them since beginning of March), and I don't need epo or Zemplar.  How great is that!  And here's the but.... I need to start phosphorus binders!!  What???  My level has been good all along.  Even gave up diet pepsi so it wouldn't go up.  Now it's at 10 he says.  What the f#@#?  That really sucks.  Oh well, thanks for listening.

Oh yeah, it sucks bigtime, but on the other hand, 10 sucks, too.  I know I will probably have to take them at some time in the future once I start D, and my mom takes them now, so I know something about them.  The good news is that once you hit upon a prescription/dosage that works for you, they are really effective.  My mom loves her some BlueBell Ice Cream, and the binders enable her to cheat more than she probably should.  Still, it's good news about the bp meds, Zemplar and epo!
