Well I finally accomplished the unthinkable and let me tell you it was no small feat.  I mentione on another post my overwhelming fear of the dentist and my inability to make the much needed pre-transplant appointment.

Well I actually had 3 appointments left on my list.

1. A cardiac cath- which i have already had one of and really didnt mind, so making this appointment was just logistical
2. Dentist- again I was petrified
3. OB/Gyn- for obvious reasons

Well all three appointments are made.  Too are on wednesday so i will have to fight the urge to high tail it outta here by then but making them is a step in the right direction.

When is your dental appointment?  I know that's the one that really scares you;we'll give you extra special support on that day!

I totally know the feeling! I hadn't gone to the dentist in 9+ years, till a tooth crumbled, and i kinda had to!  :lol; I don't know what i was avoiding, the whole experience was a-okay!

suzyq, do you have a specific dental problem, or are you just scared of going to the dentist in general?

You may need to be on antibiotics before you see the dentist.  Check with someone.

Best of luck.

I went to the dentist several years ago and had all the work done when I thought I would be on the list.  I have kept at it even though I will not be listed.  Find a dentist you like.
