Upper back pain

I have been getting back pain a couple of hours after treatment. I am having hemo dialysis. Could it be low blood pressure and having too much taken off at treatment? I go to work after treatment and its hard to stay on my feet.

I have been on hemo for 2-1/2 years and never got back pain so I will not be much help but maybe it is the chair your in. Put a pillow behind you to support it maybe that will help...Boxman

When my Blood Pressure is low after dialysis my upper back aches especially if I'm trying to do too much.  I'll have to lay down to relieve it.  I think my mussels are just too tired to hold me up. So, yes, I know the feeling but it goes away in a few hours.

If I could sleep for a couple of hours I have no pain. Too bad work gets in the way.

My upper back aches sometimes. I think it's associated with hitting my dry weight. I know a couple of times when I did just light weights at the gym for my back, the muscles cramped and tightened on me towards the end of dialysis and afterward. Laying flat on my back on the floor at home seemed to help when they relaxed after a minute. A  hand-held muscle vibrator up and down my back helped a lot too. It would have been no fun if I had to go to work after! You should ask them for a massage therapist and a massage chair!

I fight with back pain often. Having damaged by back before the kidney failure. I blame most of the discomfort on the chairs. Make sure your lower back is being properly supported in ALL the positions of the chair. I have noticed that dialysis recliners are smooth in texture, that once reclined it is easy to slip down and put lots of stress on the back. Mid back. I wish I had a better cure, but it's just another pain to live with as best one  can.

I have upper back soreness mainly around the shoulders.
By the way just a thought I go to dialysis after work so I don't have to work with the complications.
