Off to surgery today at 11:30 am Eastern to get my PD catheter.  All should be well, but I wanted you guys to know in case I'm not on for a few days.  Please send all your happiest thoughts to me, as I need this first one to heal fast and work perfectly.  If I don't get out of clinic hemo soon, I'm going to loose it!  I hope to be free of the clinic by Christmas ... Wish me luck!

So far so good.  Came home last night with some good meds and I'm taking it easy for now.  The nurse that did my first set of drains said that mine filled and drained faster than she had seen anyone right after surgery, so that's a good sign!  Luckily a friend of mine was my anesthesiologist so he was the last one I saw when I fell asleep and the first one I saw when I woke up.  I had to wait until I was in recovery to see my husband, so it was nice to have a friendly face with me the whole time.  Thank you all for your happy thoughts, I know that it helped everything go so smooth.  Continue to keep me in your thoughts while I heal and head to my first session at the PD clinic Tuesday.  Love you guys!

Enjoy your recovery time and make the most of it!
Soon you will be back to the slog again!
I say take it easy and take those pain meds when you need them.
The only one who hurts is you!
Have a great day!
