I was particularly interested to read about Glomerulonephritis and Lupus because that is what I suffer from.

I was astounded to read that Medra’s Medical Director William C. Rader says he has successfully treated 1500 patients with Fetal Stem Cell treatment in a Lupus Medical breakthrough?

I have not yet heard of one Lupus patient whose Lupus has been really stopped by any medical treatment and to my knowledge stem cell treatment is still in its infancy?

The portable wearable kidney I hope I havent missed it. Some of my colleagues were talking about it today at lunch implying they may have seen it this morning. They say it is essentially a form of mobile peritoneal dialysis which you wear around your abdomen uses a circulation system and about 500 ml of fluid with some mechanism to keep the lines patent. The device is supposedly battery powered. I will ask around maybe tomorrow if anyone has any more details on it.

The place was very crowded I got stuck outside many presentations. So i went to the posters. The posters are wear basic research is published before its really published in a journal. Some ground breaking stuff appears in posters and some stuff that may never see the light of day as well so its a mix bag.


treating 1500 patients with lupus with stem cells something like that would be pretty big. Do you have a link to the website?

I'm interested in anything about the portable cycler... My Mum's on CAPD, and it's very restrictive... She's not confident enough to do an exchange outside of the house... The overnight cycler actually PUT two kilos of fluid onto her overnight, so it's not for her!...

oops sorry about that.....
sometimes the ads are actually good stuff and sometimes they are just trying to prey on those in need for a quick buck the ads have a disclaimer ads by google or will have a sponsored by above them.

as a rule though stem cell therapy is in its infancy 1500 + cases .........very unlikely I cant call the man an outright liar but it is fishy.

New treatments in FSGS from the conference.
All of the treatments being tried for FSGS is also being tested in other studies for Lupus.
