AV Fistula & Steal syndrome

I need some help, my husband has an AV fistula, in his arm, and is complaining of pain in his hand. It happens, when he sleeps, and when he is on Dialysis. He cannot make it through his treatments, he has tried many different things to make it stop. Some have suggested that he may have Steal syndrome. His vascular surgeon checked it out about a month ago, and did not see a problem, but he is still in pain. Three months ago, he had a stent placed in his coronary artery, and it seemed to have gotten worse since then. Although the cardiologist feels it has nothing to do with that procedure. Since he is on Plavix, he really cannot have surgery now, but we do not know what to do. Has anyone had a similar problem, and can this be from any of his medications?
Thank You

I also have this problem. It is really painful. I was told it was because of the circulation. I don't really know but it does hurt. I understand.

Tee, I'm not sure if this will help, but you may want to try those hand-warmer bags made for hunters. The warmth made alleviate the pain. They are not expensive.
