PKD and Fluid Build Up

For some reason I'm under the impression that people with PKD don't generally stop urinating as the kidney function declines. I thought it was just that the kidneys can't filter out the toxins but you would still continue to produce urine and therefore there would be no fluid build up.
Is that true?

Sorry nope ! You will find everyone on here is different , ive been doing dialysis for 5 yrs now (ish) and still pass a good amount , others may only have been on dialysis for say 2 yrs and pass nothing. It does get less as time goes by and no doubt will stop at some point.

My Neph told me that many PKD patients produce urine, I have started peeing more since starting dialysis but it is clear, so I know that it isn't getting rid of the toxins. I am not on a fluid restriction because I still urinate enough, but I know that's not true for everyone.
