Has anyone made the change over ? If you have ..do you get rid of your PD tummy? and do you start to lose weight (from not having fluid in) ? If you do , how long does it take ? I figure if im going to do hemo then i want to get back into my skinny jeans !!!!

I have gone from Hemo to PD to Hemo and soon Nocturnal!
I am still working on my tummy, but I finally feel like I have enough strength in my tummy to do crunches and its coming along, I LOVE not having that tube in my stomach. Thinking of you KS

I went pd to hemo and lost a lot of the belly right away. I went down from a 14 to a 12, so that was good, and it's nice not to have to worry about dialysis stuff once you get home.

Hey Kickstart,
I didn't go from PD to Hemo, but I did go from PD to kidney transplant. I noticed the belly reduction within 3 weeks. I no longer look 6 months pregnant. Hehehe!!!

Wouldn't know. Went from pd to hemo BUT I already had a `old woman pot gut" and I have polycystic kidneys and God only knows how much is me or them.
