IHD needs an iPhone app. Posting messages is difficult because the reading/response pane gets short and wide. Previewing the messsage is difficult for the same reason, and it's really slow because of all the emoticons. (not complaining about those, I love them!). Problem is most of my leisure time on the internet these days is while on the go and it makes me think twice about responding to a post when I have to deal with this interface. I do have a shortcut to IHD on my home page, so at least it's easy to get to the site. :)

I know it's expensive, and I don't really expect it, I just had to put it out there. Love you guys!

Netbooks, more capability than iPhone and much easier to read evenb for their ssmall 10 inch scren. Priced from $299 and up, cheaper than iPhone, but doesn't make calls, but then you use Skype and make internet calls  :rofl; Just carry a mic around at the same time  :rofl;

Only thing really missing on the iPhone is a good camera on it and better battery life.

 :waving;

When I was in hospital getting my transplant recently, I only had internet on my husbands iphone. Thats why I was unable to post updates. It was much easier to post to facebook and have Tamara or Richy update IHD. At least you all did get the updates!!

Also Facebook is already se up for mobile use. I was thinking out of the blue about this, since it probably will cost money for programming to make IHD available for mobile use. The first question that comes to mind is how many people will use the mobile feature and how many members are willing to help pay through membership cost to be able to get this on a mobile device. Another economic concern is the end user, the cost of gaining internet access with a plan or not (think it's under data usage). In this economic time, lots to think about to justify cost on both ends of the puzzle or is it stick, forgot old quote.

But if they give free quotes on what it would cost to do this would be good. Just have to have enough money coming in to maintain the sites quality.

Yeah I think a lot  ;D

Chris, I obviously don't think about things as thoroughly as you do. I know it would be quite expensive, that's one reason I said I really don't expect it...I'd be willing to help with cost of course, but I have a feeling that not enough IHDers use iPhones to make it worth the price of development.

As for netbooks, we got one for my son for Christmas, and they are decent little computers (little being the important word here) but it was time for a new phone anyway, and this way I can listen to my music and check email and text message while at work.  :2thumbsup;

Well one argument for mbile setting IHD is so that we can keep updated while in the hspital if we don't have a computer to access such as the case I had in May. Although I can't se a darn word on my phone when it accesses the internet. It wouldn't matter if you had an iPhone since other manufactures could use the mobile settings on their phone. Just look at YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks that use mobile settings for phone use. You never know, in the future we may have the capability and a good to bring the possible need for it ahead of time for future planning and budgeting.
