???

Anyone else having this problem? I never in my life had a problem with breakouts. Right now I have small breakouts on eather side of my nose and on my chin. At first I figured maybe dialysis was making me breakout.Then I thought what am I doing different?? New lotion?? Yes....but wouldn't that cause me to break out all over? Then I realized...the face mask!! I am breaking out right where that face mask sits when I wear it.
I am going to try a hypoallergenic mask and see if my face clears up.

The mask is for when I do PD exchanges. I am going to stop using the lotion also. Go back to my usual stuff. See if that helps. Now I just need to find some hypoallergenic ear loop face masks.   ;)

Ok...now I am really breaking out!!(still). I don't think it's the surgical mask. MY PD nurse said I could be uremic. And that's why I am breaking out. I was thinking it could be rosacea. Who knows....  I do have an appointment with my dermatologist...2 WEEKS from now.  :banghead;

Oh and I read online that if it is rosacea that you shouldn't use anti-itch creams because that will only make it worse when you stop the cream. UGH! I've been using Benedryl for the past three days.

You will find there are lots of changes happen to your skin , the most common is dryness and like your nurse said urea is another .Because your kidneys are not working properly urea is excreted through your skin leaving salt like deposits. This could be whats happening.

The breakout is gone (for now). Now all I have to deal with is dry skin patches. Mainly my chin and upper lip and lips. And strangely enough my right eyelid.
