Marvin had his monthly check up yesterday to stay in the home hemo program.  All labs looked great AGAIN !!  Additionally, his kt/V has been running in the 2.4 - 2.5 range now for six straight months!  The doctor cut his dialysis schedule from six days a week to FIVE !!! He now can pick two days a week to be "off" -- as long as they're not back-to-back days.  We're still on cloud 9!  Home hemo is great -- we love it!

Great news petey!!  :yahoo;  Hubby does 5 nights a week. We usually try to have Mon and Thurs nights off when I am working. The fantastic thing about being home is you can plan your own schedule!!!  Doesn't matter what nights as long as it is not 2 in a row!!!

 :yahoo;
It's sooooooo nice to have the extra day off.  I did 3 on, 1 off for a while, since it didn't matter what days I had off, and that way I never wasted any of the batch from the Pureflow.  When I needed a set day off later on, we switched to 3-1, 2-1, and did slightly longer runs on the 2 day part.  I used 25 L those days instead of 20 L on the 3 day part.  I wasn't wasting as much fluid that way, and the extra 10 L cleaning keep my labs right where I wanted them.  What schedule are you going to try?
