Hi everyone!  My name is Tabitha and I live in Central Florida with my husband and our 2 dogs.  I have two grown children, one living near by and one out of state.  I am a type one diabetic, diagnosed when I was 13 years old.  I have been on hemo for almost 4 years now.  I tried to get on a transplant list, but I've had other health problems.  Dialysis certainly isn't my favorite thing, but I try the make the best of it  ::).  I enjoy knitting and reading, both of which I can do while on the machine.

I am excited to find this website and look forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome to the group.  I had to laugh at your handle, as my friend and I run a renal support group called Kidney Beings, and our tee shirts have a picture of (you guessed it) kidney beans!

WElcome to our community, Tabitha!  So glad that you joined us.  I am now in my 4th year of dialysis as well.  We don't like it, but it keeps us alive to see our family grow up.  You already know wha a great site this is.  In fact, this is a genuine family.  :grouphug; Keep reading and keep posting.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.
