I have no idea whats going on but lately I have noticed I have an odor to me.. I mean its so strange I dunno how to explain it. I am taking Prednisone for my allergies for another few days, and I have only noticed it since then. It makes me sweat a lot too which is grose. Has anyone ever experienced this?? Im worried it will last forever now! I am also very sensitive to odors too... help!

Totally!!!  Thanks for bringing this up!  I have noticed the same thing.  I bathe often as a result and use a reasonable amount of cologne (don't want to make a bad situation worse!).  Yet, the ordor remains.  I'm sure it's the toxins that are leaching out of me that even dialysis can't remove.  I'm somewhat thankful that they're getting out of my body but, Geeze! that smell!

I'm sorry I can't offer some quick solution.  I'm still searching myself.  But, at least you know you're not alone! eh?

I can smell an odor every once in a while and will ask me husband if he smells it and he never has.

I had posted the smell thing a couple months ago but since daily home hemo it is gone and the nurses when I started home hemo thought my blood was just recirculating in the fistula which can sometimes happen if not stuck properly or if there is a problem with the fistula.  Just my two cents.

I used to smell something funky quite frequently before I started dialysis, but I haven't had that problem since starting.
