Most people who have the surgery have no problems with it twirl... but as with any surgery, some do.

As for your calcium being low, that is normal after that surgery, and they should of told you that ahead of time.

i thought i had responded to this, but i guess not. i take 90mg a day. it can cause stomach upset, so i have mine with breakfast even though it doesn't upset my stomach. i have been on it for 2 years. my pth has finally dropped to a level the doctor is happy with. but it isn't stable, it bounces around a bit. but then i had a pth problem before my kidneys failed. i really don't know if the two are connected.
