Last week I missed Friday treatment because I was on the verge of :puke; all day. I wanted to get in on Saturday, but nobody called me, and I am guessing they were full. I did let them know I would not be coming in on Friday, so they knew. Anyways, needless to say I put on quite a bit of fluid and really needed to come in yesterday. So I am on the machine, and I seem to be okay. After I was off was a different story. I have such a major headache today, and my stomach is killing me. I know it's normal most likely, but I hate feeling sick on my days off, when I could be enjoying them.

When I was in clinic, I always felt bad the day after dialysis.  I hated that.  Either I was feeling yucky or I was on my way to dialysis.  Home hemo has helped that a lot - I have very few yucky days.  Sure, I have them every now and then, but not as constantly as before.  I hope you feel better real soon.

Hi Karen, sorry you are feeling bad on your day off.  Hope you feel better real soon!  I'm right there with you on this one, feeling pretty yucky myself today, and real glad to just stay home.  IHD helps.  Here's to a better tomorrow!

Usually when I skip a treatment I use a little different UF profile on the first day back because of the extra fluid. Sometimes it means a little catnap after I get home but I usually feel good the next day.

Karen
hope you feel better
am interested to know what you are taking in college
I have missed due to :puke; and did not gain fluid b/c also had  :sir ken;  ( direaha)
my unit insists and gets pissed off if we miss a Friday and do not come in on Sat
and pissed if someone misses a Sat and does not come in on a Monday
they are a pain in the ass about it
but at least they call
someone should have called you for Sat even if you could only stay part of your time
take care of yourself
