« on: June 07, 2008, 07:51:01 AM »

A while ago i wrote about my starting to have panic attacks (out of nowhere) and to cut a long story short , saw my neph and started a course of anti depressants. I have been on them for 6 weeks now and was going great not a panic attack in sight , till last night. I was sat watching tv when that dreaded feeling came over me and bingo ..sweats , chest pains , etc. Then i found this morning i have been fighting off another one by keeping constantly on the move or finding distractions. Now as you know i didnt get that move i have been waiting for , for so long and wondered , could this have triggered my panic attack ? ( like a delayed reaction? ) I keep telling myself to stop feeling like this and trying to make that dreaded feeling go away ..but it wont !

Oh Kickstart, I'm so sorry the panic is back. I hope it only stopped by for a brief visit and will be moving on -- perhaps to a distant island in the South Pacific, never to be seen again. In the meantime, breathe! And know that it will pass.

So sorry that they're bothering you again KS.  The only good thing is that at least you know what's happening and hopefully can breathe through it and remind yourself  "It's OK ,I'm OK.  This'll pass, breath in breath out".  Easy to say, not so easy in the middle of an attack.   :cuddle;

Minor setback KS, just realize that maybe sometimes it can bite you in the rear but you can get through it and it is a matter of less frequency. I know easier said than done. Rant all you want and know we are with you.  :grouphug;

Sorry to hear this KS but please try to see it as just a minor setback, you've been doing SO well and you will still do well when this passes. .  Breathe into that paper bag (it does help) and know that we are all sending love your way.  :grouphug;
