I have experienced short term fevers while on the dialysis machine, and fevers after dialysis.  Last time I had fevers it was the dialyzer fibers I was allergic to.  Last night and Monday night I experienced the same thing.  What now?

The dialysis process itself can stimulate activation of cytokines, which are proteins in the body playing an important role in the immune response.  Cytokines cause an inflammatory response in the body which can be perceived by the patient as an elevation of temperature.
