'Kidney auction' man changes mindBy Brian McDonald

A MAN who put his kidney up for auction on the internet has changed his mind.
Unemployed bachelor Noel Morris (45) has been seeking €100,000 for one of his kidneys and was prepared to travel anywhere in the world to have the transplant operation.
He put his kidney up for auction on eBay seeking bids of €100,000 or more from "serious" parties.
His advert on eBay read: "Fully functioning kidney for sale. The price is €100,000. Clean bill of health. Buyer pays all travel, transplant and medical costs. Genuine offer. Serious bids only please."
He said he was taking the drastic course of action because he wanted to clear his debts and have "a nice lifestyle".
Mr Morris, of Liam Mellowes Terrace, Bohermore in Galway city, has been unemployed for five years and lives on €197 in social welfare payments a week.
Yesterday Mr Morris said he was now having qualms about his plan.
He told the Irish Independent: "I suppose I am having second thoughts about the whole thing.
"I didn't realise it would all be such a big thing and my family weren't too happy about it either."
