I feel your pain when those doctors don't listen to you.
My nephrologist told my family when I was suffered so much with the liver, well, things happend. Oh, by the way, you may need a liver transplant!!!
Feel very bless to still be here everyday. Take care kitkatz and hope things eventually will work out for you.

Try to take off more fluid at the begining of your tx. Also does your unit use critline to monitor blood volume?

Done it. I am on a profile 2 that takes off more at the beginning than at the end. I am also on sodium. See I AM trying to work things out. It is just so damn frustrating to be told well, that is the meds you are on and I know there are others out there I could try.

Dang, Kit. How much can they throw at you? You're right though, taking bp meds at night sounds odd to me. Especially with you dropping when on the machine at the clinic. That's so not good!

Kit - the same thing was happening with Rob, his blood pressure would be about 150/80 ish and then go wicked low during a treatment. He decided on his own to cut down on his BP meds. Lo and behold his pressure wouldn't bottom out during a treatment once he cut some of them out. He also wouldn't take his BP meds on the night of a treatment, always in the morning. His Neph told him to do that, due to the fact that his pressure was stabilized after treatment. Once he had a few good weeks of BP, he told his Neph who was impressed (but also ticked that he did this on his own) and let him keep it that way.
Good Luck, I hope you get the right answers soon!

When I first started dialysis, I was taking Norvasc (10mg) and Labetalol (100mg. x 2). Now I only take 5 mg. Norvasc and my BP stays constant througout the treatment.

I am working on doing what is right for me. Today I took Cozaar and atenelol in the morning. Yesterday I took all four meds in the morning. Tomorrow I will take all four in the morning. None tonight. Then two in the morning Friday. Funny how the heart stopped pounding with the Atenelol this morning. Some stupid doctor told the pharmacy I was not taking the Atenelol and I had to ask for a new prescription from the dialysis doctor. Been off it for almost two weeks. Maybe that's why I feel ragged. I am feeling better tonight. I finally had a meal that tasted decent and I wanted to eat it. Lately I have been eating because I know I have to eat something.

Kit Atenelol, it will slow your heart down its a beta blocker
Once a doctor stop it dead with me. A couple of days later it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I was on 100mg. The doc was supposed to of taken me off it slowly 75mg for a few weeks and so on until I was on 12.5mg then I stopped it.

i had the same problem they're convinced that i am gaining weight the way i see it is if you eat late at night and your bowels dont move until after your treatment the next day then the food and waste that remains in your body is weight until you pass it out at least. the nurses dont seem to understand this the fact that it is not water or fat, but it is still weight. and trying to dialyze it off me will result in cramps.
it seems logical to me, but i dunno i could be way off here
and cramps suck
