My fluid restrictions are very minimal since I still have excellent urine output. I'm sure there will come a time when it decreases so, for now, I will continue to enjoy.

When on HD and going out with mates, I would have a beer and then switch to shots or vodka on the rocks. As Zach mentioned it is what you eat/drink between each dialysis session.

That reminds me of Jello Shots. Not bad and not much fluid. Very popular at Jimmy Buffet concerts.

Absolutely! Well done piglets... you had a good time that's the main thing. I reckon half the issue with dialysis and coping can be your emotional state of mind as much as the physical. I know when I feel down or blah emotionally somehow the body feels worse too and dialysis is a chore.. well OK it's always a chore, but if I'm feeling more upbeat and positive it can go better. So I reckon feeling good kicking back with some friends and taking your mind off things for even a bit would have done a world of good.

So hope you had a beer for kickstart AND me.. in fact one each so we're kicking back too.. along with her Cylon buddy.. *giggle* xoxox to KS

Richard trust me I had enough for you guys and some LOL
Funny part I didnt make dialysis on Sat (couldnt find a sitter and it was a change day due to family obligation on Fri I couldnt make my normal treatment) but when I went in Mon I still felt great and had no fluid retention..
I wonder if I really have kidney problems.. :rofl; (OK just kidding) But then again its my birthday so as I tell Hubby I can get away with anything today :) Unfortunately I have dialysis at 5am from now on arghhh but at least that helps with no having to find a sitter because hubby works 2nd shift so when I get home he leaves.. I am just going to be real real tired.. and now I cant' wait up for him to come home which I usually do.. oh well got to do what I got to do right ???

Well done on having no fluid issues... trust me I am SO envious you have NO IDEA!!! I've not had a drink all day just so I can enjoy a small latte for afternoon tea....

A belated  :birthday; to you Piglets!

Glad you had some fun and even skipped a day with no problem. I took 3 days off last week (normally I get 2) and felt fine as well...perhaps this kidney stuff is just a weird Punk'd episode you and I are in!!!!   :rofl;

I had dialysis this afternoon and I'm having a drink right now. I must confess that I feel pretty damn good.

Flip  is it the dialysis that makes you feel good or the vodka
you always have such a wonderful attitude on life
it is refreshing
