When i got my last fistula i was in pain for a little while then i just kept squeezing the rubber kidney they gave me. After two failed ones i just had to get this one to work. Now it is a great fistula. My thrill sometimes seems loud i can feel it pumping all the time. I also like to sleep on it a bit. The sound is great to sleep to. The only problem i had was a cold hand. Then it got worse and two of the fingers started to turn blue. it took three operations but now it still works great and the blood is back into my hand.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

keefer, sorry you went through so much with your fistula. Len has problems with his hand getting cold also. He has a graph in his upper arm and the vasgular surgeon said unless it got worse he wouldn't touch it. He is just trying to live with it.

yes petey, that is a new pictures of out babies. Trying to learn this stupid digital camera.

I have been having some problems recently with my graft.  I have to be careful where I place my arm as I sleep.  I get many problems with numb fingers.  It is not pleasant at all.
My grandson (4½) loves to hear my graft's thrill.
