Nanay, superwoman, super dooper, best mother

Has anyone experienced getting a blackened feet. My sister told me that Nanay's feet appears to be going black as if losing blood. Tho she feels fine about the feet, there's no numbness whatsoever. Her legs are usually swollen but it's a come & go pulling of fluids. Her Neph says it may be something on her veins? Is this a typical recurrence on dialysis? Are you not suppose to feel anything if this happens? Please share your experience if you have had this thing.
Thanks a lot.

sounds  like  she's  losing  the  circulation  to  her  feet/foot.
does  she  get  pins  and  needles?
are  her  feet  cold?
all  the  same  get  it  checked  out,sounds  serious.
hope  it's  all  good  at  the  end :2thumbsup;

I agree with Ang. if she has poor circulation to the feet that is why she doesn't feel anything, the nerve endings are probably desensitized. Boxman just had a procedure to open up his veins in one leg to help the blood flow to the foot. Sounds like the same problem here. Once they opened up the veins he immediately felt (tolerable) pain in that foot. Unfortunately he lost 2  toes on that foot first. Get it checked right away.

cris, you should have them looked at pretty quickly. If the circulation is cut off for too long, it will be harder to save the foot. No offensive, but that Neph sounds like an idiot, he should of jumped on it and had her seen by somebody quick. Just my  :twocents;. Hope if gets checked by someone soon. Keep us posted.  :cuddle;

I have to agree with the others, this sounds like how my dad's problems started.  Please get a vascular surgeon to look at this soon.  Wishing you both all the best, Rose

Get her to a good vascular surgeon ASAP!
I would question the wisdom of the neph.

I have told my sister to check for a good doctor at St. Lukes. I agree, this provincial Neph is not that good. She said this is a common thing on dialysis and has to put back Nanay into Pletaal or some kind of nerve vitamins. We will check on her Neph at the Kidney Institute. Will the Vascular Surgeon who did her graft good enough? I don't know if there's any kind of a special doctor on veins. Nanay still got a good feel on both feet, but it better be address quick. When I come home this 19, it will be a lot of work for me for Nanay.
Thank you everyone. I'll keep you posted.
