Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

Perhaps those of us who have purple boas should wear them that day - If mine is here by then I promise to wear it to work and post pics. People are bound to ask why I'm wearing it and I can spread the word about world kidney day

There are symposiums and screening and conferences over the next couple of weeks for World Kidney Day. If you go to http://www.kidney.org/news/keep/index.cfm and click on the NKF near you, you'll find a listing of other events that you might want to participate in.
