HI EVERYONE !!!!
 Sorry; if i fooled yous with the SUBJECT TITLE ; like i was dating or something !!!
 The DATE is 4-1-08 for my access surgery , I'm getting a pd catheter and also a fistula for backup
 The NERVOUS is me, I can't hardly stop thinking about the whole situation i've found myself in, my kidneys, starting dialysis . The whole "LIFESTYLE" ahead of me !!!
 It's comforting to be able to get advice and talk to others who know what your going through !!
 THANKS everyone for being HERE I.H.D.
 I'll keep yas updated !!

I happen to love my fistula, I was ALWAYS getting infections in my catheter. I hope you do well with yours

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Good luck! I've got a fistula and I remember feeling everything you are...and until you get through it, you will be nervous, but you will get through it!

Hi Big-H - here's to a successful surgery for the catheter and fistula.  Are you having both surgeries together?  At any rate - I'm sure there will be no problems.

I had my fistula placed on Halloween!

1993 diagnosed with glomerulonephritis.
Oct 41, 2007 - Got fistula placed.
Feb 13, 2008 - Activated on "the list".
Nov 5, 2008 - Received living donor transplant from my sister-in-law, Etta.
Nov 5, 2011 - THREE YEARS POST TRANSPLANT!  :D
