oleboy, My Marvin said don't sweat the hemo treatment tomorrow. He said you might not feel better at the beginning of the treatment, but you should feel better after the treatment. Marvin has been on hemo for 13 years now, and while he doesn't love it, it is the type treatment that works for him (he tried PD -- but couldn't get that damned catheter to work right -- two caths, no luck). Every clinic Marvin has ever been to has a tv for each patient, although Sat. morning programming sometimes sucks, you can occasionally pick up a good movie or a ballgame (usually afternoon). Lots of people at the clinics also read, listen to radio (headphones a must), or sleep. Carry a pillow and blanket (those clinics are always cold) -- if you end up not needing them, you just carry them back home. Don't sweat it -- hemo isn't as bad as some people say.

Good Luck, Oleboy! My husband also does hemo. As mentioned, a pillow and blanket are a must! If you like to read, bring a book along to help spend the time. Let us know how you are.
