Resting in Peace
«

February 16, 2008, 10:46:43 AM »
I have not posted in a long time, due to the amount of time I have spent taking care of my mom during her ilness.
My mom passed away peacefully on Monday February 4, 2008 after a long a very courageous battle with kidney failure, congestive heart failure,
and many other health related issues. The only thing she did not have was diabetes!
I am so proud of my mom for her tenacity. She never once complained about ANYTYHING, related to her illness. The only complaint she ever had was how bad food tasted after starting dialysis, and she loved to eat, all 100 pounds of her!
I wanted to let everyone here know how thankful I am for this website, for which I learned everything I could ever want to know about dialysis and kidney failure. Everyone here was so supportive, and I am so grateful.
Thank you, Thank you, and God Bless all of you.

Lisa, I am so sorry. It hurts to lose your mother, I've done it. It will hurt for a long time.
You can take pride in knowing that you were there for her, did all you could for her, and she
knew it. From what you say of her, she appreciated it too, knowing her daughter was there
for her.
Hang in there honey.

It's tough when you lose your Mom. My Mom passed in March of 2006 and I miss her every day! No, every second of every day! My condolences to you and your family.

Lisa,
I feel for you. My Mom also suffers from Kidney disease, what makes it more difficult for me is I am away from home, away to support for this deadly disease. There are times that I want to hug her, be close, but I can't, it hurts so much. And so are you on this trying times. Hang on my friend, there is always a purpose. Be glad of the memories and the time you were together, the love you shared is the best thing that ever happened on you. Prayers for your family.
