Huge PTH jump in one month

I started Sensipar a couple months ago and it brought my PTH down from 600 to 250.   I just looked up my latest labs (I can get them online) and I'm up to 1028!!!  My doctor appointment is tomorrow and I'm sure we'll address this, but has anyone else ever seen anything like this? 

My phophorus is also up and it's usually low.

Sensipar did the same for me - worked for a couple of months then didn't do a thing.  I'm over 1300 right now, and we're trying IV hectorol, but it doesn't work well for me because of the dosing protocol.  You can only take it if your calcium result times your phosphorous result is under 55.  My phos is a weekly battle for me, and my calcium is alway high, so I'm not really getting the hectorol on a regular basis.  I'm hoping something works soon, though - this high PTH makes me nervous.

My husband had the same problem with sensipar. It worked for a few months and then his PTH started climbing. The Neph switch him to Hectorol and his calcium started to go nuts. At his Aug 07 clinic the Neph said they would watch it for another month and then we would discuss having his thorid taken out. He got called for a transplant on Sept 6. Thank God.

I hope you can get it under control. I watch Len's labs pretty closely and right now I'm dealing with entirely different mess of numbers.

They drew more blood to redo the test today.  I just wish I could get stabilized.  I've had to do a kinetics test every month for the past 5 months, as my dialysis prescription has changed monthly since my heart cath.  It seems as soon as we resolve one problem, a different one pops up.     

I'm sorry Len is have problems with his meds.  My doctors keep telling me how great I'll feel once I'm transplanted.  It's hard to take seriously though as they said the same thing about dialysis.
