I started in-center hemodialysis a month ago. Since I still urinate 1700 cc's in a 24 hour period I have often come to D weighing less than my checkout weight from the previous session. Working on cleaning but not removing fluid. Still, they often take from .8 to 1 Kg off. My standing blood pressure at the end of a session is quite low, high number 89 to 94. I feel wobbly and tired out.

OK, there is some background, we'll get the process figured out, I am sure. My question is do hemoD patients get filled up with gas during the process? I leave belching and very flatulent. Sometimes quite uncomfortable.

I asked a tech about it and he said that it seems to run along with low blood pressure. Do any of you have any experience with this phenomena?

I haven't noticed anything different where my belching/gas and/or flatulence is concerned.  And I do have problems with low blood pressure after I get on the machine.

My Mom used to have that gas in the early times of her dialysis but it went away after about 3 months. Her neph said that it has something to do with blood toxicity not liquid retention. The neph gave her some med to neutralize the gas & acid. I pray you get better as you go along with HD.
