I'm in DC right now having an eventful NxStage travel experience. This follows some travel last month with the System One to Florida. I could cross post - don't know the IHD policy - but here is the link to where I've blogged - the Florida trip starts on the 9th about 6/7ths of the way down if you want to read it sequentially

I had a problem with Continental too about the extra luggage associated with traveling with Nxstage.  They let me through, but originally wanted to charge due to the extra containier and the extra weight.  Thankfully, it was not as bad as your dealings with Delta.  Thanks for the heads up!
