i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Try to stay positive Paddbear. My ex-wife had this and it turned out to be a cyst in the one of her tubes, forgive me i don't know all the fancy names of all those women body parts. It was a very easy out patient procedure, if this is what you have. It effects your emotions because it makes you think you are pregnant, it's hard for a man to understand this but very real for the Lady. I hope this is all it is.

Either way my prayers and thought are with you and I hope you get this taken care of soon.

Glad to hear you're not pregnant, but damn, a possible tumor on top of everything else?? So sorry to hear it. Hope the bloodwork shows it's nothing serious! Keep us updated.  :grouphug;

An update...Idiot me fell asleep this AM before I was suppose dto get my blood work done, then when I woke up, I forgot I was suppose dto have it done and I ate something! Oh well, I'll try this again tomorrow.

They've already done an ultrasound (for another reason) and there was nothing abnormal in the uterus/tube area, so that is why my doc suspects the tumor on the pituitary gland in my brain. She hopes, if that's what it is, that it can be cured with medicine. If not, than it's surgery through the nose or a craniotomy! Yikes!!   :o

Right, comments like oh..oh u. r only 30's something but u. already have dialysis and transplant.  WTF.....like I plan to have my body break down like this at the prime of my life.  Yes, we all at some points feel like our body betray us.

What, am I not allowed to vent when i have a set back?! I'm sorry, I'll try to keep all of my emotions bottled up inside from now on!  :sarcasm;

Paddbear, I don't think st789 was being critical. I think he was agreeing with you; saying that is what people have said to him and that he also feels like his body is betraying him at an early age.  Read it again - his posts aren't usually negative.   It is rare when someone here criticizes anothers post.  We are all in the same sinking ship!! :grouphug;   We all need to vent!

Yep, st789 was agreeing with you, but its ok, we all misinterpret how we talk because we can be sarcastic and funny but sometimes that doesnt come out that way in the postings, no worries,  :2thumbsup;

It is important to keep in mind that he toxins that build up in the body can cause the pituitary gland to behave abnormally, just as though it had a tumor growing in it.  The pituitary gland sends messages to the ovaries or testes, depending on your gender, and these messages can become confused either by tumors damaging the pituitary gland or by toxins not cleared as a result of kidney disease doing the same sort of damage.  So in this way, tumors on the pituitary and renal disease can manifest in sex gland disturbances for both men and women.  Let's hope that it is not tumors, but just biochemical changes in your body secondary to renal disease, which are causing these garbled signals being sent from the pituitary to the ovaries.

st789, I apologize if I mistook your comment! I don't think my frame of mind at the time helped. Now that I reread it, I understand what you were saying, so again, I'm sorry.

Paddbear, did you remember to get your blood drawn today?  ;)   :grouphug;

And yes, I got my blood work done! I haven't had much time at all to get on this site in the last few days. Now, I wait!
