The closest I get to being a vegetarian is when I eat pizza. I don't like the grease residue from meat on my pizza. I order everything but meat and anchovies.

i get protien from other sources such as tofu, soy milk, cheese etc...i am not on dialysis yet...but my catheter for home PD is being put in on Sept 26, 2007.
I think when my diet changes on dialysis it is going to be a real challenge for me...but where there's a will there's a way...

So since you eat cheese you aren't a complete Vegan right?  Do you eat eggs and fish?  Just asking because I know some vegetarians are stricter than others.  We were vegetarians for many years until both my wife and son started to get anemia problems.  We still eat from a little of both worlds just because it's healthier.  I am not on dialysis though so I can't offer you any advice or suggestions on the matter.

A vegetarian friend sent me this video. I was not able to watch more than the first few seconds.  It would make you leave commercial meat alone and either raise your own livestock or be vegetarian.
