Have you ever felt you were being filmed? Have you ever had sooo many things go wrong you thought you were making outtakes for a DVD?
Today  I felt something in the air and I should have listened. I get ready to get my BP after my weigh in. 3x no reading and i'm starting to wonder if its a setup. I have successfully
used my fistula for 3 sessions. I even asked about removing my perm cath. My arm is swollen like a 4 year old holding his breath and the problems start.
The first needle didn't work due to clots(they said it was common). The nurse hooks up one of the perm cath lines but not before my machine goes off 10 times in 5 mins (I kid you not).
While they talk angio a bump here and a bump there( the clot was in the bottom needle) They infiltrate the top one. My arm is looking like i'm hiding a baseball with the all the colors of a
skittles candy. I'm back to full perm cath and this whole process took 45 mins. They ask me if I want to get out at my regular time and I said yes(big mistake). They took fluid off to fast which caused major cramping
in my calfs. 1/2 bag of saline and the special shot later I'm kinda back to normal. 3 hours later i'm still walking funny because I still can't put my entire foot flat on the floor. My machine went off 47 times during my treatment and the tech said i'm banned from chair #5. I'm looking for the youtube video as we speak. :banghead;

P.S. 1 kilo was removed.

It's times like this that really make you wonder if it's worth the trouble!  Jeeze!

I think you paid your dues up for a while with this one!

I had one of these episodes and it's frightening enough that I still have nightmares about it!

I'm going with the realization that this is a once in a year type of thing. Its just frustrating. In addition my perm cath has  been bleeding every night and morning. My Neph want is to come out due to increased risk of infection. Nobody knows why it hasn't sealed(had it since mid July). I'm trying to stay positive but if it isn't one thing its something else.

Oh, boy!  I hope your next run is better.  Hang on to the permacath until things smooth out.
