Wade,

Squeeze that ball! (not THAT one, the one they gave you at the hospital!)  :rofl;

Nice to meet you! I'm the guy in the thread your missus started who had the Goodpastures Syndrome. It's an evil, evil disease, and you seemed to suffer over a much longer period than I did.

You belong to a small club of survivors of this horrible thing. Don't you just feel special?

As I said in the other thread. You are pretty much a mirror of where I was at 12 years ago when the FGP (what we call the goodpasture's in our house, I'm sure you can work out what it means), so if you want a battered and a little gnarled ear to bash who knows pretty much EXACTLY where you're at, I plan on staying on this earth a little longer yet. Feel free to drop me a message.

Cheers mate

Hi Wade!

Like other's have said, keep working that squeezie ball once you can.  It will make it easier for you, when it comes time to put the needles in.

Take it easy for a while and rest your arm.  Best wishes, and Welcome!

Hi Wade,

I did not create the hello kidney icon.  I found it at a photosharing site photobucket.com

I don't know who owns the right to it, but it would be cool and funny as a tattoo.

take care,

Chris

What's dialysis?

« Reply #20 on: September 09, 2007, 09:11:56 AM »

Hey Wade,

I answered Kari's intro earlier,

the more you know the better prepared you are.  There's great support here on this site so make sure you use it.  Are you using a line from your chest to dialyze at the mo?

You got any questions about what happens when it comes out and your first sessions using your fistula then I am here to answer your questions as it all happened to me last year.  Feel free to ask, either you or Kari.

Matty.
