Welcome into our IHD family Fluffy,

Just wondering why you had to switch from PD to hemodialysis. Thanks for taking an interest in ihatedialysis.com

I like the fact that you have a positive goal of becoming a social service worker. Good luck in your endeavors.

Hello from down in southern California!  Welcome to the boards.  Have alook around there are alot of things to see and things to do. There is the arcade where you can spend many hours playing games.( or wasting time.) It is free.  There are the boards where there are all kinds of discussions going on. Hop on in and join in on one.  There is also the chat room.  We have had many lively chats through the days on line.

Thanks for all the welcomes :) im looking forward to finally talking to some ppl in the same boat. as to why i had to stop PD its because the doctors said that my peritoneal membrane wasnt working as well as it used to and my adequacy sucked. they said my creatinine was 2700. Even tho i didnt feel any worse than usual they were worried and they started the process of switching me to hemo  :-\

 :o :o :o

2700? Holy guacamole! I was transplanted at 560!!! I'm small-built gal and all, but still! I'd have been dead long before 2,700 - maybe readings are recorded differently in Canada to Australia, because I just can't comprehend that.....

Anyway, welcome, from down under  :ausflag;

Welcome aboard from another Canadian.  I met someone else who didn't start dialysis until she was over 2000 . The doctors couldn't believe it. Stay in touch and let know how things are working out.    :canadaflag;
