Hi Peter! :welcomesign;
I 'm originally from Toronto, just down the street from ya! ;)

I've spent numerous weeks in Ottawa, years ago, when I used to play music for a living.
Carleton University comes to mind, and Sparks street. Drinkin' wine from a brown bag under the bridge with the street folk. Happy memories. :beer1;

Glad you've joined us!

Hi again, Peter. I'm from toronto, the east end, mostly, but lived all over the city throughout the 40 years I was there. (Born and raised.)
I live on Vancouver Island, now, since '88.

If I can find a living donor, yes. I will probably do a forth. I refuse to stay on dialysis forever, or the 5 - 10 year wait for a cadaver.

As for a wealth of information, yeah, I probably have some. I had complications after my third that never really went away, so I've never really had any "free time" away from doctors etc in the past few years.

That's great. I hope you can find a living donor. I am 27 and have been on the transplant list for only a month. I am also hoping to find a living donor.

Another Canadian to be welcomed to IHD.com. Welcome. Take some time and read the boards.  We have a lot of interesting thing sna people on here.

Kitkatz,moderator

Here is a brief tour of the site.

The area that generates a lot of discussion about dialysis is the general discussion topics:

http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=2.0
This area of the forum is where the meat and potatoes of the dialysis world are discussed by the members.
Feel free to post anything you want to discuss or if you have a question.

There are lots of interesting discussions in the off topic area: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=5.0.

There is even a fiction story being written by our members in this area: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=17.0

Home dialysis discussions  such as PD and nocturnal are in this topic: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=25.0

There is also a search box at the top of the boards to help you in finding topics of interest or answers to your questions.  You can refine your search, too.

I hope this short tour has helped you become better acquainted with IHateDialysis.com.
