Anyone got vibrating chairs?

The guy who sits next to me in dialysis went on a trip to Kelowna BC he said the chairs had vibrators built into them, what a novel idea to decrease the discomfort after several hours in the chair.

Our older chairs have heaters and vibrators, but not the newer ones. Fresenius decided not to have te ones with heaters any longer. Hopefully, if that is the case, they will have the thermostats raised, at least, to just above freezing. Personally, not fond of the vibrating though.

If a patients have either a pacemaker or a ICD implanted  in their chest the vibrating chairs which use magnets could interfere with these devices.  I recently went to a Fresinius site in Saratoga Springs which had new chairs that had more padding and  had two positions 1 legs up and chair would not recline 2 full recline lovely chairs plus heat and vibration

I've asked about chairs with heating and vibration.  I've been told to forget it.  I would love to have heat in the chairs, because sometimes blankets, sweaters, gloves, and mohair socks don't cut it. 

I've often said that if I won the lottery, that I'd buy all new chairs for the unit.  I wonder, if the chairs were a donation, if they would refuse it

We had heated chairs until some of them broke.  Apparently the wiring for the heater on/off switch is poorly designed, as the switch is on the arm of the chair and the wiring gets bent or snapped when they take the chairs apart for cleaning between patients.

So now instead of having some that heat and some that don't, they just unplugged every chair so no one would complain anymore.  Personally, I'd prefer at least some patients to get the heated chairs, even if it isn't me.

There are some battery-powered handwarmers on Amazon and I'm seriously considering those.  In the meantime, I'm rocking a sort of rescued-in-the-Alps sort of look with an extra blanket, pile-lined slippers, and a jaunty knit hat with an enormous fluffy pompom on the top.

If I don’t get a heated chair I plug in my heating pad.  If anyone complains I point out that CMS requires accommodation if they run the temperature lower than the old CMS required temp.

Yeah at my clinic we have chairs with both heat and vibration.  I've only used the vibration setting once or twice though.

We're not allowed to have heating pads or electric blankets in our unit.  I've asked.  I did buy a usb powered heating pad, though.  Just the element, meant to be sewn into pet beds.  I was thinking of sewing an inside pocket for my sweater for the pad and a power bank to power it.  No one in the unit would know the difference
