Now I have Cellulitis- both legs-- in a out of ER

This is a horribly painful condition-- a deep infection of the cells--  My legs ache horribly.  There are frequent "explosions" of angry nerves.  Lots of swelling.  Really hurts like hell to walk on them.  It's been nearly 2 weeks, 2 ER visits and lots of pain.  Not sure it will ever go away, and the fact that I'm a "complicated patient"  on dialysis makes my odds of recovery even slimmer.

They gave me antibiotic when I had Cellulitis, if I remember correctly Fluclaxocilin or something

Just an fyi: Doctor first thought I had cellulitis. Another said Venous Stasis. Then they did a CT scan of my chest. It's a mess. I had pneumonia and was diagnosed with polymyositis, hypoxia and pulmonary sarcoidosis. They determined my legs were red, swollen and weeping (and blistering) from fluid in/around my lungs. The only place left for the fluid to go was my legs. These "leg conditions" mimic each other however, are treated very differently. I am on Furosemide for the fluid. My legs are much much better now and skinny again. Hope they can give you some relief soon. Yes, it is very painful.

Like most millenials, my son spent too much time slouched in a computer chair. They blamed that for his having cellulitis in a spot on his lower back, the side he slouched the most to. They first tried antibiotics, then had to lance it twice, keeping him on antibiotics. Eventually they got it. At first, they drew a circle around it to make sure it was not spreading, then the antibiotics, then the lancing. I hope they can find you some answers soon.

Oh man, I'm really sorry this is happening to you!  It sounds awful, it really does.  I don't have any advice, but I do wish you a speedy recovery if at all possible.

I've had cellulitus a couple of times but only in one leg at a time.  Almost as red as an apple, and a very high Temp.

The high temp was the worst time, almost delirious, I felt absolutely freezing and just wanted everyone to go away and leave me alone.

I don't remember what antibiotics they used but it ws more than one.

12 days in isolation and I was pretty much my old screwed up self.

Unless y ou have residul kidney function and still produce urine lasix may not make a big difference.

Adjusting your PD cycles and using all greens may make for more take off.

Keeping OFF your feet, legs elevated, compression socks, all things I had to do years ago when my legs stayed so swollen they leaked constantly.

This can be difficult to handle at home alone as you have to move about the house to take care of yourself.
