Cvc line ITCHY

My line is extremely itchy and now my skin is red and dry. Also, i couldnt take it anymore and I took one of my sutures out. This thinf was not put in correctly and kept ripping my skin so i took it out. The first time I got my cvc line was a year and a half ago. Within one week the nurse took my sutures out. Today I ask the nurse practitioner if ai could take it out she said we leave those in.
.?!??! I cant leave it in. Honestly its not helping my catheter do anyhting!!
So about my itchiness, is this a sign of healing or just dry skin. Its itxhy where the tube goes under the skin on the side everywhere
